Future Planning

Everyone deserves to live life to their fullest potential. Sometimes, we all need advice, input and encouragement along the way. Having a plan for the future to address the "Who, What, When, Where, and How" of meeting that potential is what Future Planning is all about.

Empowering Families Today

Welcome, we are glad you are here to plan for the future. It is our pleasure to help families design a safe and secure future for their loved ones as we connect you to the community.

If you or your family member has an intellectual or developmental disability, we want to help you to find valuable resources and information.  As you plan for the future from one age and stage to the next, you’ll need to create goals, navigate systems, develop relationships, and increase your knowledge.

Future Planning can help you accomplish all of these things.  Proactively planning ahead can have a positive impact and keep you on an upward trajectory throughout your lifetime.  Since support needs and circumstances typically change as we age, planning ahead becomes incredibly important for families we serve who experience these kinds of unique challenges.

You don’t have to do it alone, we are here to help.  Let us provide a framework that makes thoughtful planning easier.  The  peace of mind that comes from knowing you’ve done your best to set your family members up for success, is well worth the effort.

Future Planning 101

Future Planning is creating a guide for a person with an intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD) to lead a good life as independently as possible. A plan is important throughout all stages of life and especially in the future after the parent or caregiver is no longer able to provide support.

Find Resources In Your Area

Families can search for Lawyers, Financial Planners, Protection & Advocacy Agencies, State ID/DD Agencies, Services and Supports in your area.
